The story of Taz Mania 2 revolves around Taz's quest to rescue his family, who have been kidnapped by the two hunters Bull Gator and Axl. The player must navigate through 16 levels, jumping over gaps, dodging enemies, and using Taz's unique spinning ability to reach high speeds and avoid obstacles.
The gameplay of Taz Mania 2 is a standard platformer with some added twists. Taz's spinning ability allows him to move quickly around the levels, but it also drains his energy bar every second. The player must find power-ups to refill the energy bar and complete each level within a time limit. If Taz loses one of his four hearts, he will lose a life due to hitting an enemy or touching water.
