The year was 1994 and a mysterious library had appeared in the heart of New York City. The Pagemaster, a magical librarian, had created this world to keep the city's books safe from harm. However, his arch-nemesis, the villainous Locksmith, threatened to destroy everything. With the help of three brave adventurers - Richard, Katie, and Chris - the Pagemaster set out on an epic quest to stop Locksmith and save the library.

Players control one of these three characters as they navigate through increasingly difficult levels filled with obstacles, enemies, and treacherous terrain. The game requires quick thinking and precise timing, as players must avoid traps, dodge attacks, and solve puzzles to progress. With a unique blend of exploration and action, Pagemaster challenges players to be creative and resourceful in their quest to defeat the Locksmith and save the library.
