The story of Star Fox 2 follows the adventures of the Star Fox team as they attempt to stop the evil Empire from destroying the Lylat System. The team, consisting of Fox McCloud, Slippy Toad, Peppy Hare, and Falco Lombardi, are on a mission to gather information about the Empire's latest plan and put an end to it.
The gameplay of Star Fox 2 is fast-paced and action-packed. Players control one of the four Arwing pilots as they engage in dogfights with enemy ships, navigate through treacherous terrain, and complete objectives. The game features a variety of vehicles and upgrades that can be used to gain an advantage over the player's opponents.
Star Fox 2 was initially released on the Super Famicom console in Japan on October 5, 1991, but it wasn't until 2017 that it was re-released for modern consoles. This release marked the first time the game had been available outside of Japan and introduced it to a new generation of gamers.
