The story of yoshis cookie follows Yoshi as he tries to collect all 100 cookies scattered across a number of different levels. The twist is that each time Yoshi breaks a cookie, it splits into two smaller pieces that Yoshi must then navigate through the level without getting broken himself. With each piece of cookie collected, Yoshi becomes bigger and more powerful, allowing him to reach new areas and access previously inaccessible paths.
The gameplay of yoshis cookie is centered around platforming and exploration. Players control Yoshi as he navigates through increasingly complex levels filled with obstacles such as enemies, traps, and broken cookies. The objective is to collect all the pieces of a single cookie while avoiding getting broken or losing your progress. With each level completed, players unlock new areas and access new recipes that can be used in the game's recipe mode.
