The game begins with a side-scrolling section where you control a warrior with magical powers, battling your way through various environments to purge the land of evil. You'll encounter different landscapes, such as swamps and pyramids, as you fight your way through hordes of enemies.

As you progress, you'll allow villagers to return and rebuild their towns. Once they've settled in, you take control of an angel who guides them in building and managing their community. With the angel's help, you can send down miracles to aid the villagers in times of need, helping to bring peace and prosperity to the land.
