Extra Innings , released for the Super Nintendo in 1992, is a sports game that puts you in control of your favourite baseball team. The game features 12 fictional teams, plus the option to create two custom teams, giving you complete freedom to shape your own team's identity.
The gameplay is all about strategy and skill, with various game modes to choose from. You can participate in an Exhibition mode, either as a solo player or against a friend, or compete in an All Star game that requires two players to take on each other. The Pennant Race is another exciting option, where six teams battle it out over the course of a season, with you deciding how many games to play.
Watch mode allows you to observe two computer-controlled teams as they face off against each other, giving you a chance to see how the game unfolds without getting involved. The game also includes various options that let you tweak your experience, such as adjusting fielding style, weather conditions, and even choosing whether or not to watch opponents' pennant games.
