Rocky Rodent must rescue Melody, the daughter of Rose Restaurant owner, from Mafia member Don Garcia's clutches. The game's protagonist will receive an all-you-can-eat meal in exchange for her safe return.
The gameplay involves navigating fast-paced side-scrolling platformer levels to find Melody. Rocky can defeat enemies by jumping on them or use his special hairstyles as weapons:
His first hairstyle allows him to skewer and throw enemies, destroy porous blocks, and cling to certain ledges. A mohawk can be thrown at enemies like a boomerang or into walls to serve as a trampoline. Braids are used as a grappling hook, while a corkscrew-like haircut lets Rocky bounce on his head to jump higher than normal.
However, losing a life occurs when Rocky is attacked by an enemy and isn't wearing any special haircut, forcing him to start over.
