WWF Super WrestleMania is a wrestling game that uses rules and wrestlers from the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). The game introduces a characteristic "tug of war" gameplay style, which involves two wrestlers grappling each other until one of them has the upper hand. The player has to repeatedly tap a button to execute this move. All the wrestlers share the same set of typical WWF moves such as scoop slams, suplexes, hip tosses, dropkicks, clotheslines, and elbow drops. The Genesis version adds signature moves unique to each characters.
The game's modes are one-on-one, tag team, and Survivor Series matches (four-on-four). The Genesis version also has a WWF Championship mode, which allows the player to select one wrestler and slowly move his way up by defeating other wrestlers in a tournament consisting of one-on-one matches.
The gameplay is simple yet engaging. Players can choose from a variety of wrestlers, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. The game requires strategy and timing to execute moves effectively and outmaneuver opponents.

How to Play
Welcome to the Ring
Experience all of the sights, sounds, and sensations of the ring wars. You can wrestle in one-on-one competition against the computer or a friend.
You can also control two wrestlers in a tag team competition, or face the ultimate challenge of a four-on-four Survivor Series. Get ready for WWF Super WrestleMania.
Loading the Game
•
1) Make sure the Power Switch is OFF.
•
2) Insert your WWF Super WrestleMania Game Pak as described in your Super Nintendo Entertainment System manual.
•
3) Turn the Power Switch ON. When you see the WWF Super WrestleMania title screen, press the START BUTTON on your controller.
Game Selection Screens
WWF Super WrestleMania gives you over a dozen different ways to play. One or two players can compete in one of three match formats at any one of three levels of difficulty.
After pressing the START BUTTON, you will see the first of three selection screens. Use the UP and DOWN CONTROL PAD ARROWS to make your choice on each screen.
•
First Selection Screen: Choose between one and two player mode.
•
Second Selection Screen: Choose one of three match types: One-on-One, Tag Team (Two-on-Two), or Survivor Series (Four-on-Four).
•
Third Selection Screen: Choose one of three levels of difficulty (Easy, Medium, or Hard). This screen only appears in One Player Mode.
Choosing Your Wrestlers
The computer will ask you to choose your wrestler, wrestlers, or a Survivor Series captain. Use the CONTROL PAD ARROWS to scroll through the 10 different wrestlers. When you are ready to select a wrestler, press the X, Y, A or B BUTTON.
The number of wrestlers you must select is determined by the type of game you are playing:
•
One Player Mode: You select your wrestler, and the computer selects your opponent.
•
Tag Team Match: You select your two wrestlers, and the computer selects your opponents.
•
Survivor Series: You select your four wrestlers, and the computer selects your opponents.
The Match Screen
Use the CONTROL PAD ARROWS to move your wrestler around the ring. Combine these arrows with other controls to have your wrestler perform up to his true WWF Superstar potential.

Hulk Hogan
The most popular wrestler in wrestling history, Hogan has held the WWF Championship title four times. His legions of fans, "Hulkamaniacs," have spurred him on to unprecedented success in the ring and on the silver screen.
The Undertaker
Managed by Paul Bearer, The Undertaker has a strange obsession with death and has been known to lock opponents into coffins. Despite his distasteful penchant for graveyards, he remains a forceful and determined opponent in the ring.
Sid Justice
Justice boasts a remarkably chiseled physique, the result of a daily workout regimen that has catapulted him into the top ranks of the most powerful men in the WWF. His awesome musculature enables him to launch an impressive power attack.
The Million Dollar Man
The wealthiest competitor in the WWF, DiBiase is a peerless ring tactician who frequently uses his wealth to further his own career. Obnoxious and arrogant, he often takes shortcuts to victory and believes that "Everybody has a price."
Animal
One-half of the Legion of Doom, Animal grew up on the mean streets of Chicago and possesses incredible upper-body strength. His greatest strength is his relentless ferocity, showing no letup until his opponent has been pummeled into submission.
Hawk
One-half of the Legion of Doom, Hawk is a powerful brawler who favors using a neck-breaking clothesline maneuver. His ring style is all about uncontrolled destruction, and he executes all of his moves with a little "extra."
Earthquake
One of the Natural Disasters, Earthquake is a mountain of a man whose very physical presence is enough to intimidate opponents. His "Earthquake Splash" brings the full brunt of his 468 pounds to bare on his opponent's chest.
Typhoon
Comprising one half of the Natural Disasters, Typhoon is as relentless in his attack as the storm for which he is named. He causes massive damage, warning opponents that there are no emergency precautions to protect them.
Jake "The Snake" Roberts
Quiet and mysterious, Roberts slithers through the WWF ranks and drapes a venomous cobra over his fallen opponents. He boasts a remarkable ability to absorb and inflict punishment, utilizing his punishing favorite move, the DDT.
The Macho Man Randy Savage
Often accompanied by his manager and wife Elizabeth, Savage boasts a ring style that blends science, street brawling, and aerial tactics. His daring leaps from the top turnbuckle have led to the defeat of hundreds of opponents.
