Monster Jam , based on the TV-show under the same name and live events hosted by Live Nation, is a monster truck racing game. The game includes 20 pre-existing trucks licensed specifically for the game by USHRA (United States Hot Rod Association). These trucks are well-known in the Monster Jam franchise, such as Destroyer, Bounty Hunter, Blue Thunder, Captain's Cruise, and Grave Digger.
At the start of the game, only a small amount of trucks and tracks is available for choosing. The player must participate in various events to earn career points, which will unlock new items. The points given depend on the player's performance in events such as Freestyle, Track Circuit, Eliminator, Stadium Circuit, and Stadium Racing.
The game has a career mode where players can compete in Monster Jam World Finals to prove their right to be the ultimate champion of Monster Jam. The game also emphasizes fully destructible levels, where nearly everything on the track may be crushed, moved or destroyed.
