LEGO Jurassic World

The gameplay involves playing through levels with different characters, smashing objects, and solving environment-based puzzles. These include digging, cutting through foliage, gliding, climbing up walls, grappling, interacting with technology panels, scanning tracks, shooting targets, examining dung, grow vegetation, shatter glass, taking pictures, opening locks and more. There are over 100 characters to unlock, including 20 playable dinosaurs also with specific abilities.

The game features local cooperative gameplay, where a second player can join through a drop-in drop-out system, allowing for simultaneous play with friends. The game also includes weather effects that affect the environment, as well as new objects that can be assembled using LEGO bricks. After completing levels, they can be replayed in free play mode with different characters and free exploration in large hub locations, with additional unlockables.

The game allows players to customize their characters and dinosaurs, including mixing DNA strains to create genetic hybrids. Red bricks can also be collected and sold at the Holoscape terminal to unlock new abilities. The game's island hubs can be populated with dinosaurs by locating a piece of amber with a mosquito inside, hidden in each level.
