Spooky's evil spirit has taken over Pac-Land after the 5 Golden Fruits are stolen by ghosts. Pac-Man must journey through various worlds to retrieve the fruits and restore order.
Pac-Man World 2 is a side-scrolling platform game where Pac-Man can run, bounce, roll, and swim his way through levels. The game offers depth in its play-field, allowing for more movement options than just left and right. Pac-Man has various moves at his disposal, such as the butt-bounce, rev roll, flip-kick, or rev jump, some of which serve dual purposes like reaching higher platforms or attacking enemies.
The game features a password system to allow players to easily access levels they've already completed.

Pac-Man World 2 is an action-platformer in which the player controls Pac-Man to rescue his homeland after the Ghost Gang steals five Golden Fruits and releases the ancient evil spirit, Spooky. The objective is to navigate through various levels, collecting hidden fruits and battling enemies to defeat Spooky. Players can also seek out Galaxian keys to access classic maze modes, aiming for high scores while restoring peace to Pac-land.
Story
Menu Navigation
To move through menus, press the Control Pads Left and Right. To confirm a selection, press the A Button. To cancel a selection or return to the previous menu, press the B Button.

Play New Game
Deep in the heart of Pac-land lies a small hidden village. In the center of that village grows an ancient tree bearing 5 golden fruits. Legend states that if the Golden Fruits are stolen, darkness will descend across the land.
On a dark night, the ghost gang stole the fruits and released the ancient evil spirit imprisoned for all eternity: SPOOKY! The tree broke, the earth split, and the prison opened. Only Pac-Man can save the day.
Your goal is to complete each level, finding hidden fruits and facing enemies and Spooky to achieve a killer score. You can also collect hidden Galaxian keys to open the classic Pac-Man maze.
To start, select which levels you want to play from the list of unlocked levels. Press the Control Pad to select a level, then press the A Button.
How to Play
Getting Started
•
Switch the Nintendo® Game Boy® Advance system OFF. Never insert or remove a Game Pak while the system is ON.
•
Insert the Pac-Man World 2™ Game Pak into the slot on the Game Boy® Advance. Press firmly to ensure the Game Pak is correctly inserted.
•
Switch the Game Boy® Advance ON. The title screen should appear. If the title screen fails to appear, return to the previous step.
•
Press START to enter the Main Menu.
In-Game Help
Throughout Bear Basics, you will be offered help on how to play the game. You will find hint signs explaining how to control Pac-Man and how to use his special abilities. Make sure to read all of them so that you are ready to make your way to Spooky.

REV ROLL
Press and hold the B Button to execute a high-speed roll that allows Pac-Man to attack enemies or proceed up steep hills.
FLIP KICK
Press the B Button while jumping to perform a Flip-kick, which allows Pac-Man to attack enemies.
REV JUMP
While holding the B Button, press the A Button to perform a Rev Jump, allowing Pac-Man to reach areas too far for normal jumps.
SWIMMING
When inside water, press the A Button and the B Button to swim up and down, respectively.
DOLPHIN JUMP
Press and hold the A Button while in water to execute a Dolphin Jump, allowing Pac-Man to leap out and reach hovering fruit.
LOOK AROUND
Press and hold the L Button while being idle to look slightly around Pac-Man, helping to find hidden fruits and secret areas.
OBJECTS AND POWER-UP
Pac-Man will find many hidden power-ups and special objects to aid him in his quest.
EXTRA MODE

TIME TRIAL
Restarting a completed level unlocks the clock item; collecting it starts Time Trial mode, where you must complete the level before time runs out.
CLASSIC MAZE
Collect four Galaxians Keys in each world to open a classic Pac-Man maze in the Village where you collect pac-dots, avoid ghosts, and eat power pellets.
PASSWORD
After completing a stage, you will be given a password.
Items & Weapons
Fruits Crates
You will encounter these in some levels. Take note of the Fruit on the crate, you will need to find a matching Fruit in order to open it.
Steel Ball Power-Up
This power-up makes Pac-Man invulnerable for a short period. It also makes him heavy enough to walk underwater, allowing him to open treasure chests underwater with a butt-bounce.
Treasure Chests
These chests contain items; try to find them all to get all the hidden fruits!
