Ford Bold Moves Street Racing is the third title in the licensed Ford Racing series developed by Razorworks. Unlike its predecessors, this version has an urban atmosphere, focusing on street racing with 24 tracks available in Los Angeles. The game features 18 Fords, including models like the 1968 Mustang GT and the 2007 Shelby GT 500. Players can choose from four main modes: Quick Race, Team Racing, Solo Racing, and Multiplayer. In Solo Racing, players can participate in quick races and championships to unlock new vehicles and tracks. The unique Team Racing mode allows players to control two or three vehicles as part of a team during a race, issuing orders like Block or Draft to influence their teammates' driving behavior. Completing challenges or racing earns credits, which can be used to buy new vehicles in the showroom. However, there are no tuning options available for the cars. The game's urban theme is maintained without offering any customization options.
The PSP version includes six additional Ford cars and seven new tracks. In Team Racing mode, two cars can be controlled on the PSP, whereas three cars can be controlled in console versions. Solo and team multiplayer are also supported over Wi-Fi.
An alternate Australian PS2 release, Ford Street Racing (XR Edition) , features four additional Ford models that are iconic to Australian Ford history: the 1970 Ford XY GT Falcon, the 1970 Ford XY GTHO Falcon, the 2003 Falcon XR8 Ute, and the Australian Falcon XR8. This version is exclusive to Australia and includes four additional cars not available in other releases.
