Disney's The Haunted Mansion is an action game based on a combination of the popular Disneyland attraction and the 2003 movie of the same name. Players guide Zeke Holloway through the house of 999 happy haunts in order to solve a mystery, put the spirits to rest, and get out of the house alive.
The Haunted Mansion gameplay involves full roam of the mansion, where players collect Shriveled Souls inside their Beacon of Souls. This special lantern collects the various lesser ghosts throughout the rooms. Zeke is aided by Madame Leota and six friendly ghosts, who provide hints and items throughout the journey.
The game's puzzles and tasks are completed as Zeke helps to rid the house of its evil spirits. These efforts earn Soul Gems, which amplifies the power of the Soul Beacon. Once fully charged, Zeke is ready for a final showdown with the main spirit, Atticus Thorn .
The Haunted Mansion was released on October 14, 2003, for the Xbox console.
