Captain America: Super Soldier is a third-person action game based on the movie Captain America: The First Avenger , which is inspired by the Marvel comics series. The plot focuses on Captain America's battle against his enemies, including Red Skull, Arnim Zola, and HYDRA. Most of the action takes place in a large castle, where these villains are developing their evil plans. The player controls Captain America as he fights his way through athletic sequences.
The gameplay features Captain America's shield being used in various ways during combat: thrown at enemies, deflecting projectiles, and scaling walls. Some levels require puzzle-solving and platforming skills to progress through the story.
