The story of Dead Island Riptide takes place four months after the events of the original game. The player is now a member of a rescue team sent to investigate the mysterious outbreak on the island. As they delve deeper into the island, they must navigate through hordes of zombies and other infected creatures in order to uncover the truth behind the disaster.
The gameplay of Dead Island Riptide is fast-paced and action-packed, with a focus on melee combat and exploration. The player can choose from a variety of characters, each with their own unique abilities and playstyles. As they progress through the game, they will encounter new areas to explore, including abandoned buildings and hidden underground facilities.
