Man vs. Wild , based on the survival television series of the same name, puts the player in the shoes of host Bear Grylls as he attempts to survive in various environments. Using real-life survival techniques employed by Bear, the player must navigate through the Sahara, a deserted island, Patagonia, and other treacherous terrain.

The game is an action survival third-person experience where the player's health constantly dwindles. To avoid death, the player must forage for food, build shelters, and find ways to escape their predicament. Gameplay revolves around collecting items and participating in mini-games within levels, such as hiding inside a camel's carcass during a sandstorm or catching fish with a spear. The player will also encounter various animals, including snakes, pumas, and bears, but the game remains family-friendly with no blood and plenty of educational content about wildlife.


