GP Rider is a portable Sega Game Gear version of the popular motorcycle racing game. The story follows a professional rider as they compete in 15 different courses around the world, facing over a dozen opponents to win and advance to the next level.
The gameplay involves controlling the rider's bike while avoiding collisions with other riders. If a player is bumped from behind, they can either take evasive action or lose control, sending their rider flying through the air. Four game modes are available, including Exhibition and Grand Prix, allowing players to choose their preferred level of challenge.
A unique feature of this portable version is its ability to be played with a friend using the Link Cable, providing an added layer of competition.
