Lumines is a puzzle game where your goal is to place as many 2-color falling blocks in like-colored blocks on the playing field to wipe it clean. A timeline crosses the field from left to right, clearing and counting up your matches. The more matches you make before the timeline wipes them clean, the bigger the combo multiplier towards your score.
Lumines will reward you with new "skins" as you progress through the game, changing the graphics, sound effects, and music during play.
The gameplay involves stacking blocks in order to create various shapes shown to you.
You can also play against the CPU or wirelessly against another player on PSP .
Lumines was released on PSP in 2005 and is available as a puzzle game. The game has received positive reviews from critics and players alike.
