Riddick Bowe Boxing is a boxing game with subtle differences from its peers. The user interface includes damage and energy meters, as well as a miniature ring at the top of the screen, helping players to avoid being cornered easily.
The gameplay offers various options, including 1-Player v. CPU, 1-Player v. 2-Player, and a career mode with four preset fighters to choose from. Players can also create their own boxers. The career mode starts at position #25 in the ranking and gradually improves through bouts, with time spent in the gym building up stats to eventually face Riddick Bowe himself.
The game is largely based on Evander Holyfield's Real Deal Boxing , with differences in graphics style and included fighters.
