Aa Harimanada is a sumo wrestling game based on the manga and anime created by Kei Sadayasu. As in the real sport, the goal is to knock the opponent out of the ring. However, it is not a particularly realistic interpretation of sumo, playing much like a traditional 1-vs-1 fighting game. There are grabs, throws, and special moves, and the player can also win by knockout by draining the opponent's stamina. The single-player mode follows the story of protagonist Harimanada, while the versus mode allows for one or two players to compete with any of the 15 characters.
The gameplay is fast-paced and action-packed, with a focus on quick reflexes and strategic thinking. Players can choose from a variety of attacks, including grabs, throws, and special moves, all designed to knock their opponent out of the ring. The game also features a stamina system, which must be depleted in order for a knockout to occur.
