The official game of the Games of the XXV Olympiad, held in Barcelona in 1992, featuring seven different events: 100M Sprint, Hammer Throw, Archery, 110M Hurdles, Pole Vault, Springboard diving and 200M Freestyle Swimming. Game features the typical button mashing formula used by Epyx during the 80s.
Gameplay includes a button mashing sequence with some variations: in 100M Sprint, 110M Hurdles and 200M Freestyle Swimming, players must hit specific keys at certain times to succeed. In Hammer Throw, players press an action key to release the hammer, while in Pole Vault, they set the bar and then jump over it. Archery involves three rounds with six arrows each.
The player can choose to compete for eight nations: Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, United States, Japan and the CIS. Each nation has its own anthem and athletes to compete against the player. Athletes perform differently in each event, some capable of breaking World Records or reaching finals.
