The Slum... an area of town completely forgotten. No one could imagine the cruelness suffered by innocent people who were transformed into horrible mutant creatures by genetic experiments. They hovered everywhere and completely took control of the town. Mutation Nation is a 1-2 player action game where you must control your hero and beat up any mutant that gets in your way, by either using your fists or one of four special attacks. A boss at the end of each area needs to be defeated if you want to proceed further through the game.

This is a dark sci-fi action game where players navigate a post-apocalyptic city, "Mutation Nation," overrun by genetically engineered monsters. You must fight through the chaos caused by a rogue chemist's experiments to survive in this new world.
Story
The Nightmare Begins
An explosion at a biochemical research institute marked the beginning of a nightmare. No one realized its true significance.
The New Order of Humanity
A research paper titled "The New Order of Humanity in Human Modification" detailed the creation of a world for those with superior, artificially manipulated genes.
The Chemist's Ambition
This demonic bio-research faced fierce criticism and was reportedly erased from academic societies. The chemist responsible was presumed dead in the institute's explosion.
However, the chemist was not dead. He orchestrated the explosion himself, using it as a catalyst for his ambition.
Mutation Nation
A forgotten slum city was reborn through the chemist's experiments. It became "Mutation Nation," a city of new humans.
This city is now swarming with creatures called monsters, and chaos reigns as the new order.
How to Play
Game Premise
People in the city have become crazy mutants. Two young men have returned to their transformed hometown.
Unleash continuous attacks and powerful special moves to defeat the chemist who is the mastermind behind the incident. Prevent this nightmare from spreading to a peaceful world.
How to Start the Game
Press the start button on the controller connected to the main unit.
On the difficulty setting screen, select the game level with the lever and press the A button to confirm. The game will then start.
Difficulty Settings

Hard Mode HARD: For advanced players

MVS Mode MVS: Same settings as the arcade version (Level between Normal and Hard)
2-Player Simultaneous Play and Mid-Game Participation
This game can be played by up to 2 players simultaneously.
When playing with 2 players, connect 1P and 2P controllers to the console and press both start buttons.
If you press the start button on the other controller during 1-player play, you can join the game mid-way.
About Game Over
If you take a certain amount of damage and your life gauge reaches 0, it's game over.
Continues and Continue Restrictions
When it's game over, a continue count will be displayed. If you press the start button before the count reaches 0, you can continue the game from that stage.
Continues are limited to 3 times for both 1P and 2P. If you exceed this limit, you cannot join mid-game either.

Tips & Maps
Special move available
By holding down the A button during the game, your power gauge will increase. When the gauge is full, release the button to use a powerful special move, which consumes a certain amount of life.
1P Hundred Rending Fists
Unleash dozens of kicks in an instant while moving freely on one leg. This precise and aggressive high-speed control is only possible for him, a professional rider.
2P Whirlwind Fist
Move by spinning at high speed like a top with both arms outstretched. His innate sense of rhythm and exquisite balance are said to have been honed through dance, also known as "Death Breakdance."
Save (Record)
Insert a Memory Card into the main unit. When the continue count reaches 0, select “YES” on the save selection screen with the lever and press the A button to record game progress data.
Load (Recall)
Turn on the main unit and insert the Memory Card before starting the game to display the load selection screen. Select “YES” with the lever and press the A button to start the game from the recorded stage.

Power Ball
Increases the number of times special moves can be used by 1. Each special move can be used up to 3 times.
Clone Fist
Releases energy like a clone in front and behind.
Explosion Fist
An explosion occurs around the super-fast punch.
Thunder God Fist
Punches the ground from above, defeating enemies in front and behind with a lightning-like energy wave.
Dragon Tornado Fist
Creates a vacuum vortex with high-speed rotation, sweeping up surrounding enemies and dealing great damage.
Enemies & Characters
Low-level Bio
They look completely human, but are actually mutants. All have the same face, and when they die, they turn into green liquid.
Transformable Bio
It transforms into battle form upon appearance. This guy is a dangerous one that charges fiercely.
Plant-type Bio
Female genes seem to be compatible with plants. Beautiful roses have thorns and powerful kicks.
Insectoid Bio-Mutants
These guys have high jumping power and wield sharp scythes, making them dangerous.
Disposable Mech-Bio
Failed genetic manipulation modified corpses. There are also bold disposable mutants who blow off heads.
High-mobility Mech-Bio
Riders integrated with motorcycles. No license plate due to illegal modification.
Animal-type Bio
An example of near-perfect adaptation. Excellent in muscle strength and reflexes.
Insect-type Bio
Because it has human joints, its compatibility among bio-creatures is said to be low.
Bio-dog
Not human, but a dog that has undergone biological modification. Fast speed.
Waste utilization mechabio
Utilizing humans who were failed experiments, they are mechanically powered up.
Area 1 Mid-Boss
A former weightlifting champion whose shoulders and knees have abnormally protruded due to biological modification. He is a heavyweight mutant who attacks with a body blow while performing a knee drop and rotating sideways.
