Pole Position

Before starting the Grand Prix, you must qualify by completing the Qualifying Lap within 73 seconds or less. If you don't qualify, you can continue to race until the Race Timer runs out after 90 seconds. You'll earn 50 points for every 5 meters and an additional 50 points for every racing car you pass. When the time runs out, the game is over and you'll have to restart the Qualifying Lap.

Qualifying will let you start in one of eight available positions. The faster your lap time was, the better your starting position, as well as earning bonus score points. The number one starting position is the most coveted.

During the Grand Prix, you'll compete against both the Race Timer and other racing cars. If you fail to beat the Race Timer in any lap, you're out of the race - game over. Completing the race by reaching the finishing line will grant you points for time left on the timer, distance covered, and passing bonus points.
