Pac-Man was released for the GameBoy in 1991, introducing a new gameplay mechanic to the classic arcade title. The game takes place on a single screen, where Pac-Man must navigate through a maze filled with dots and moving fruit while avoiding four ghosts: Inky, Blinky, Pinky, and Sue.
The objective of the game is to clear the maze by eating all the dots and fruit, while avoiding being caught by the ghosts. One touch from a ghost will result in Pac-Man 's loss of life. However, Pac-Man can turn the tables on his pursuers by eating one of the four Energizers located within the maze. During this time, the ghosts become blue and Pac-Man can eat them for bonus points.
