A mysterious alien life form is spreading across the galaxy, trying to conquer the world. It took control of the moon base and is threatening to descend on the Earth. The humans have sent the most advanced fighter jet to oppose the aliens: the OF-1. The OF-1 has the ability to change speed at any time and equip different weapons and pods. OF-1 is humanity's last hope! ImageFight is a top-down vertically scrolling space shooter. On every level there will be enemy ships, turrets, robots, and other machines shooting projectiles or trying to ram you. But there are also power-ups scattered around in small green containers. You must destroy these containers before you can obtain the power-up. Those power-ups include pods that add extra attack power or speed, new kinds of weapons, the ability to fire in different directions, etc.

Extracted from the original game manual
This space shooter game is set in the year 20XX, where Earth faces an alien invasion following the shattering of the Western Moon Base. Players pilot the latest OF-1 "Daedalus" fighter, which features 8-directional movement and switchable auto or normal shooting modes. Before launching into battle for humanity's survival, pilots must select their difficulty class and preferred shooting style from the mode selection screen.
Story
Emergency Situation
In the year 20XX, a massive explosion at the Western Moon Base shattered the moon into four pieces and countless asteroids, plunging Earth into chaos. This event marked the beginning of an invasion.
Unknown craft destroyed orbital industrial plants while reconnaissance satellite footage revealed strange, glowing plants clinging parasitically to the Moon Base's Mother Computer. Scholars argued this phenomenon indicated an alien invasion.
Preparation for Battle
To address the urgent situation, the Western faction prepared their latest fighter, the OF-1 "Daedalus." Pilots had only about a week of practice despite imperfect training, and those who cleared the training flight immediately launched into space.
This marked the beginning of the battle for the survival of the human race.

Red Pod
A pod that faces opposite to direction keys and allows for 16-way attack.
Blue Pod
A pod that is fixed to the forward direction for attack.
Pod Shoot!
A technique involving pressing buttons ① and ② simultaneously to shoot attached pods off to take down enemies.
POW Boxes
Objects that can be destroyed to make items appear.
Drill Laser
A powerful laser that attacks only the front.
Barrier
A special attack part activated by holding down the shot button.
Ring Laser
A laser that expands step by step to hit a wide area.
Reflecting Ball
A ball bullet that bounces back when hitting walls.
V Vulcan
Fires bullets in a V-shape to the front-left and front-right.
Searcher Laser
Detects enemies and turns at right angles.
Searcher Missile
A missile that automatically tracks enemies.
Vulcan 7
Fires bullets in 7 directions.
Side
Fires bullets to the left and right.
How to Play
Combat Simulation Stage
It's a flight training expanded in the computer space!
After each stage clear, the destruction rate indicating the training grade is displayed as a percentage. The passing line is 90 percent.
After clearing 5 stages, if the average destruction rate of each stage is less than 90 percent, the next stage becomes a remedial stage. Only pilots who clear over 90% can advance to the practical combat stage.
Stage 1

Fly over the enemy base.

Various types of enemies appear one after another.

It spits out chain-like lasers.
Stage 2

A confrontation with a massive battleship.
•
The pursuing mother ship has many turrets, and enemies are flying out of hatches.

Proceed through the resource mining site occupied by the enemy.

All types of cannons are waiting in the complex terrain.

Performs curved laser attacks.

Ascend inside the orbital elevator.

Radiation-firing cannons, walking robots, and electromagnetic nets block the path.

Boss: BOY.

Tries to crush the player with missile attacks.

The lair of extraterrestrial creatures.

Creatures with hard shells protecting their front appear.
•
SKYURA and the giant snake MEDOSSA appear.

Tips & Maps
Real Fight Stage
Participants in Project: Strikers battle the Orbital Combat Station, Asteroid Drop Plan Flagship, and the Mother Computer MARIKO inside Moon Base.
Backfire
Performing a speed change creates a backfire behind the player that can be used to damage enemies.
Part Replacement
Equipped parts can only be replaced after being destroyed by enemy bullets, terrain impact, POW boxes, or low-durability enemies.
Use Pod Sheet effectively
Moving the player while flying in the pod guides its direction.
How to Continue
Select CONTINUE using direction keys and press the RUN button on the Game Over screen to continue.
