Lode Runner is a puzzle game where you control the player character, moving around several platforms collecting gold. Various enemies inhabit the levels, and the player uses a drill to capture them by drilling holes in their bodies. This action only temporarily disables the enemies, allowing them to respawn after a short time.
The gameplay revolves around navigating through the levels, avoiding enemies while collecting gold and trying to reach the exit. The five-player option allows for local multiplayer fun with friends or family.
