The player's progress can be aided by collecting power-ups from defeated enemies, which grant temporary advantages such as increased speed, enhanced firepower, or protective shields. However, these upgrades come with risks: transforming into a robot can provide greater firepower but also makes the ship more vulnerable to attacks and environmental hazards. If the robot is damaged, all accumulated benefits are lost, and the player must start over from the last checkpoint.
