You are tasked with guiding a frog across a treacherous road and river to safety at the top of the screen in Frogger . The journey is fraught with hazards, including cars and trucks on the road and snakes in the water that will kill your frog and cost you a life if contact is made.
The gameplay involves using the arrangement of logs, turtles, and alligators to navigate the frog across the road, while avoiding deadly encounters. Your goal is to jump into one of the open home-cells, ideally one containing a fly for extra points, before moving on to the next level. Each level becomes progressively harder as you aim to fill in all the holes.
