Impossible Mission , released in 1979 , is an action-packed adventure game where you take on the role of a secret agent tasked with stopping the evil Professor Elvin Atombender. The story follows your mission to infiltrate Atombender's stronghold, evade his deadly robot creations, and gather crucial password pieces to gain access to the main control room. With only 6 hours to complete the game, every minute counts, as you'll lose 10 minutes each time you die and 2 minutes if you use the help function on your portable computer.
The gameplay involves navigating through increasingly difficult levels, avoiding deadly traps, and solving puzzles to progress. The robots, rooms, and puzzle pieces are shuffled at random when you start a new game, adding replay value and challenging you to adapt your strategy each time. Will you be able to stop Atombender and save the day, or will you fall victim to his evil plans?
