Art of Fighting is a fighting game set in South Town, where Ryo Sakazaki and Robert Garcia search for their kidnapped sister Yuri. As they delve deeper into the city, they uncover clues about the kidnapping, the Sakazaki family's ties to the mob, and a figure from their past.
The gameplay features a unique Spirit meter that decreases as you perform special moves, requiring careful management to recharge without leaving yourself open to attack. When your health is low, a secret combination can be performed to unleash a powerful finishing move, but only if the Spirit meter is full.
