The game's story revolves around competing in a bowling tournament, with players aiming to knock down as many pins as possible. Players take turns rolling the ball, trying to get the highest score and outdo their opponents.

Players can compete against each other in local multiplayer mode, choosing from various throwing styles, ball sizes, and spin settings to suit their skills. Two players can play simultaneously on a vertically split screen, adding to the excitement of the game. In addition to regular scoring, there are two special score modes: Strike 90, which awards extra points for strikes, and Flash, which randomly adds bonus points.
