Joust , a classic Atari Lynx action & adventure game, follows the story of a knight with a lance who rides their flying ostrich to battle against evil knights on vultures. Players control their steed as it flies through a series of challenging arenas, taking down enemies and destroying eggs before they hatch.
The gameplay involves flapping the steed's wings to hit enemy knights from a higher angle, while navigating crumbling platforms and avoiding deadly obstacles like lava trolls and pterodactyls. With three types of enemy knights - Bounder, Hunter, and Shadow Lord - players must stay alert to overcome the increasing difficulty levels.
The game was notable for its time as one of the few two-player simultaneous games in arcades, providing a unique competitive experience for fans.
