Background Story
Alex Hawkfield was an ordinary young man living in a small, quiet town.
One day, he found an old man lying on the street who was nearly dead. While most people ignored him because it was obvious the old man would not survive, Alex was the only one who took him to his own house and cared for him.
A few days later, the exhausted Alex fell asleep by the old man's side. He suddenly heard a deep, strong voice say, "Wake up, Alex..."
When Alex opened his eyes, the old man was standing in front of him. His features looked different from before, and he appeared healthy rather than ill.
The old man told Alex that his heart was full of kindness and that he had the potential to make the world better.
He explained that if Alex tried, he was capable of becoming a king. He then asked if Alex would like to try his own power and unknown potential.
Alex did not know how to answer, but he was moved by curiosity. Before he could speak, the old man realized Alex was ready.
The old man swung his cane, and the room was filled with blinding lights. These lights made everything disappear, beginning Alex's long trial.
