When two classic puzzle games collide, culture shock ensues. The characters from the Puyo Puyo series find themselves in a chaotic situation as crazy characters claiming to be Tetris masters crash into the Puyoverse. They're not only eager to play Tetris , but also claim to be good at Puyo Puyo popping.
Puyo Puyo Tetris brings together the Puyo Puyo and Tetris series in a unique puzzle battle. The player navigates through seven chapters of 10 stages each, playing as one of 26 characters in an effort to determine which puzzle game series is superior. The objective remains the same: score chains and overwhelm opponents with Nuisance Puyos and extra blocks. However, the rules change frequently, introducing items to hinder opponents' progress or challenges where reaching a goal before time runs out.
Traditional battle mode is still available, allowing up to 4 players to compete for Puyo (or Tetris ) bragging rights in a puzzle-filled frenzy.
