Gyruss is an action adventure game where the entire solar system is under attack by the Gyrusians. You must fly your spaceship to each of the nine planets, clearing three stages of enemies to save them from destruction. As you progress through the levels, you'll have the opportunity to collect power-ups and bonuses that will aid you in your quest.
The gameplay involves moving your spaceship in a circle around the perimeter of the screen, firing your cannon at enemies as they approach. You can upgrade your cannon to a double cannon after collecting a power-up satellite. The game features multiple levels, each with its own set of challenges and rewards. By completing each planet's stage, you'll unlock bonus stages that offer additional weapons and points.
