Dragon Ball: Advanced Adventure follows the exploits of young Goku as he sets out for the first time to seek the legendary Dragon Balls. Based on the earliest manga chapters, players fight their way through platform levels, bashing countless goons and bosses inspired by pivotal events and characters from the series.
The gameplay is straightforward with simple controls, allowing Goku to punch, kick and use his magic staff. Special duels and tournament sequences play like classic fighting games, but with some limitations. As players progress through the game, new abilities are unlocked, including air combat after obtaining the Flying Nimbus. Completing the story mode unlocks duel characters, which can be customized for one-on-one bouts.
