Ecks vs. Sever is one of the first First-Person Shooters to be featured on the Game Boy Advance. The game tells the story of Ecks, an ex-FBI Agent whose orders are to hunt down the beautiful assassin named Sever. As the cat-and-mouse-hunt progresses, both agents will find out that they are mere pawns in a larger government conspiracy.
Ecks vs. Sever has two main game modes: Single Player and Multi-player. In Single Player mode, the player can choose to play as either Ecks or Sever. This choice makes a big difference in the single-player campaign. As Ecks, your orders are to chase Sever, while as Sever, you have to evade him. The levels for both characters tend to be the same, but with different objectives and locations.
When playing as one character, the player's goal is to complete their specific objective, such as preventing an assassination or killing a government agent. However, when playing as the opposing character, the goal changes, making the gameplay more challenging and exciting. For example, when playing as Sever, you'll have to throw grenades at Ecks while avoiding his sniper fire.
The game also features a Multi-player mode for up to 4 players, with three different modes: Deathmatch, Assassination, and Bomb kit. In these modes, players compete against each other in fast-paced action, adding an extra layer of fun to the gameplay experience.
