Lilo & Stitch is a platform shooter and strategy game based on Lilo & Stitch: The Series, a TV show that follows the Disney film. The game allows the player to play as Lilo Pelekai and alien experiment Stitch, as well as other characters from the show.
The plot revolves around the title characters rescuing Jumba Jookiba's experiments (also known as Stitch's "cousins") from Dr. Jacques von Hämsterviel, and eventually defeating him himself. You play action parts of the game as Stitch, with levels resembling a Metal Slug-style shooter, double jumps and 8-directional shooting.
The strategy/puzzle parts of the game are played by Lilo. These involve using other experiments to help you make your way through the level. The experiments have special abilities such as moving through electrical wires. They can also be used by Stitch in later levels to fight enemies.
