No Rules: Get Phat is an action game where the player controls One Eye Jack . While he is watching television, the broadcast is interrupted by aliens who announce their plan to invade the planet. Jack sets out to stop them. The game contains five worlds that consist of 2D side-scrolling platforming environments. Jack moves to the left or right on his skateboard and is able to duck, and jump to dodge enemies and obstacles and to get on top of platforms. A slingshot is used to attack, as well as a spinning move. He can aim to the right as well as upwards. Levels encourage exploration and often have a vertical design where he can use windows to reach higher parts of a level. Jack has a limited amount of health replenished by grabbing first aid kits. There is a set amount of lives, and additional ones are collected by finding icons that represent his head. There are also sections where he can grind rails, ledges and horizontal surfaces and grab vinyl records. By collecting all of them in a single level, additional moves and tricks are unlocked.
Next to the platforming sections, Jack needs to defeat aliens at the end of levels in sequences similar to Dance Dance Revolution games where the directional buttons need to be pressed at the right moment to match the beat. This leaves the alien open to an attack and the A button is then used to scratch and attack. The game package includes a physical fingerboard.

In this action-platformer, you play as One Eye Jack as he battles invading aliens from Planet Punkazz who threaten to destroy his urban culture. Navigating through five distinct levels ranging from city streets to alien spaceships, Jack must overcome obstacles and enemies to reclaim his favorite shows, food, and beats.
Story
Background
One Eye Jack leads a kickin' life: enjoying Cocoa Soul Puffies, watching Snoop Nasty and The Super Homeez on TV, skating with the crew, and mixing phat beats after hours. However, aliens from Planet Punkazz disrupt this lifestyle.
The Punkazzes claim they are there to "get phat," but their true goal is to whack Jack's culture to survive, as they cannot eat people. Jack refuses to play along with their plans.
The Game
Slimy green alien chumps from Planet Punkazz have dissed Jack fiercely and are throwing down on his turf. They are talking smack about getting phat and have compromised Jack's favorite shows and food. You must read the comic in the game to understand the situation.
Comics
Something is going down that likely isn't good. You can play the game directly, but to truly "Get Phat," you should chill with One Eye Jack and his crew. They must figure out how to save themselves from the Punkazz threat.
Levels
Jack must grind through five different levels: Downtown, Colbutt Mountain, Underground, the Cocoa Soul Puffies factory, and finally, the Punkazz Mutha Ship. In each stage, Jack must navigate past aliens, animals, obstacles, and half-pipes.
Downtown
Jack must push through Punkazz-infested streets to reach “Phat Beats Or Else,” his favorite record shop. There, he meets an alien leader and learns their weakness: Phat Scratch Fever.
Colbutt Mountain
After saving the record shop, Jack learns that the Punkazzes have taken over Colbutt Mountain. This takeover would cancel Snoop Nasty and Da Super Homeez, Jack's favorite cartoons. Before he can save the antenna, he must defeat the icy Punkazz guardian.
How to Play
Getting Ready
Correctly insert the Game Pak into your Game Boy Advance system. Switch on the device; the display cycles through logos before reaching the main menu screen. WARNING: Inserting the Game Pak while the system is already on might result in damage.
Start A Game
Two options are available on the Main Menu:

START drops you into a fresh game.
•
PASSWORD takes you to a higher level, but requires a code.
The only way to obtain a password is to play to a certain point without getting "whacked." When that point is reached, a password is displayed, so write it down.
Punkazz Mutha Ship
When Jack reaches the alien ship, he sees it resembles a turntable with an arm for scratching. Finding the controls might allow him to administer a killa dose of phat scratch fever.
Pick-Upz
One Eye Jack must master his skills to save his lifestyle. Initially, he can "ollie" and shoot his slingshot. He can also pick up items such as:

Health
Jack is fueled by Cocoa Soul Puffies, but this may not be enough against Punkazzes throwing slimecaps. To survive, Jack must pick up First Aid Kits to restore his Cocoa Soul and keep moving.
PUNKAZZ FACE-OFF
At the end of each level, Jack must face off with a powerful Punkazz Thug. Defeating these Thugs requires busting phat scratches in their direction.
You must press a specific button at the correct time during the Face-Off. Failing this causes the Thug to eat one of Jack's records. If the Thug eats all his records, it is game over.
The Thug stands at a safe distance but is close enough to swipe the current record if Jack fails the scratch.

When Jack sees his own head up ahead, these Jack-heads will give Jack an extra life.
Vinyl Recordz
These records are the only thing that can thwart the Punkazz threat, increasing Jack's chances of total Punkazz whackage against bosses at the end of each level.
Alien Ammo
To use the Punkazz's ammo against them, pick up the RED, GREEN and BLUE slingshots when marbles don't cut it.
Red Slingshot: Cherry (Da) Bomb!
Provides a hardcore bang against pesky Punkazz hordes!
Green Slingshot: Bad Mutha Grenade
Delivers a big mutha explosion that takes out lotsa Punkazzes!
Enemies & Characters
Jack
The protagonist who uses a slingshot and has a Cocoa Soul. If drained, he is returned to the most recently-passed checkpoint.
Punkazz Patroller
A basic chump enemy that is easy to put down with the slingshot.
Hover-Thug
An enemy that floats and zings, begging to be flicked.
Da Bomber
An enemy that launches grenades from a distance.
Sniper
An enemy that shoots from afar and above, requiring the player to aim high to defeat.
Drone
Slimy, tentacly Punkazz protectors that drop nastiness on the player.
Punkazz Petz
Slimy green animals including cats, dogs, rats, wolves, bats, and bears that have been taken over by the Punkazz.
Tips & Maps
Punkazz Thug Strategy
When symbols appear in groups, press the A button after the bell rings to drain the Punkazz Thug's energy. Jack can defeat a Thug with enough vinyl records, and his chances improve with more collected.
General Tips
Use Jack's skating skills to avoid holes and pipes, utilize slingshots and ducking to handle Punkazz, earn special tricks for help, and collect Punkazz ammo throughout levels.
