Setting Up The Game
After the EA SPORTS Intro and legal screens, press Start to enter the Main Menu.
From the Main Menu, you can access all Tiger Woods PGA TOUR game modes, including Play Now scenarios.
You can also practice your golf game or customize your game in the options menu.
Options
Access this section to change settings and customize your playing experience.
•
Sound: Turn the Special Effects and Music on or off.
•
Difficulty: Choose from either Amateur or Pro.
•
Weather: Set the weather conditions to Fine, Overcast, Storm, or Random.
•
Credits: View a list of those responsible.
Playing The Game

In Game Display
The in-game display shows the following information:
The Swing-O-Meter
The Swing-O-Meter determines how much power and accuracy you have on your shot when driving, swinging, and putting.
How To Swing
Press the A Button to set the power for the back swing.
When the meter is closest to the 100% mark, press the A Button to begin the downswing.
Press the A Button once again when the meter is closest to the 'Hit zone' for a straight shot. Press to the left of the 'Hit zone' for a 'hook' shot and right of the 'Hit zone' for a 'Sliced' shot.
The further away from the center of the 'Hit zone' that you choose, the further left or right your ball will hook or slice.

On The Course
Out-Of-Bounds/Water Hazards
Every now and then a wild shot lands in a water hazard or out of bounds.
When the ball lands out-of-bounds, you must re-hit your shot from its original spot.
Add one stroke for the misplayed shot and one stroke for the penalty.
For example, if your first tee shot lands out-of-bounds, your next shot from the tee is counted as your third.
Scorecard
The scorecard appears after each hole.
Here, you can view your hole-to-hole score, overall score, par for each hole, and score for the other golfers.
You can also view the scorecard from the Pause menu.
Pause Menu
To reach the pause menu while on the course, press the Start Button.
After you have finished, press the Start Button to return to the course.
The following options are available from the pause menu:

Resume Game: Continue from where you left off.
•
Exit: Leave the current game and return to the Start screen.
•
Scoreboard: View the current status of play.
Game Modes
Tiger Woods PGA TOUR Golf offers a variety of game modes for every type of golfer.
To access a game mode, highlight GAMES from the Main Menu screen and press the A Button.
Play Now
Jump into the middle of golf's most challenging scenarios.
Take on twelve different pressure situations and see if you can defeat the Sawgrass Stadium Courses' toughest holes.
PGA TOUR Tournament
Play against friends or eleven CPU opponents over two rounds at the TPC at Sawgrass for the coveted TPC Trophy!
Shootout
A multi-player, last-man-standing shootout over random holes to see who really is the best!
Practice
Improve your swing on the driving range.
Practice your putting game on the 18 greens or any one of the 18 holes on the Stadium Course at Sawgrass.
Saving And Loading
Tiger Woods PGA TOUR Golf features an automatic saving facility to continue where you left off and save your progress in Play Now and PGA TOUR single player modes.
It is not possible to save multi-player games.
