Getting Connected
To play multiplayer games, you need an equal number of Game Boy Advance systems and "TOP GEAR GT Championship" game cartridges for each player. You also need Game Link® Cables exclusively for the Game Boy® Advance.
For 2 players, use 1 Game Link® cable. For 3 players, use 2 Game Link® cables. For 4 players, use 3 Game Link® cables.
Connection Precautions
Multiplay may not work correctly in the following situations:
•
Using a Game Link® Cable not designed for the Game Boy® Advance.
•
The Game Link® Cable is not inserted fully.
•
Pulling out the cable while communicating.
•
Cables or systems are not connected correctly.
•
Connecting more than 5 systems.
How to Connect
Follow these steps to connect your systems:
1. Make sure the power of all systems is OFF.
2. Insert Game Paks into each system.
3. Connect the Game Link® Cables together, then connect them to each system.
4. Turn the power of all systems ON.
5. See page 8 for directions on how to play the game.
•
When playing with 2 or 3 players, do not connect systems and cables that are not being used.
•
Player 1 should be connected to the smaller plug of the Game Link® Cable.
•
Refer to the illustrations on the previous pages for proper connection.
