The Dragon Warrior III is an enhanced remake of the original game for the Game Boy Color console. This version of the game introduces several new features, including a Thief class, more weapons and items to collect, as well as a personality mechanic that affects how party members develop their attributes.
The gameplay involves exploring a fantasy world, battling enemies, and recruiting party members to join your quest. The game has a unique mini-game board called Pachisi (later known in the series as Treasures n' Trapdoors) which adds an extra layer of challenge and strategy to the game. You can also explore dungeons such as Sky World and Ice Cave, each with their own set of monsters to battle.
