GETTING STARTED
1. Turn OFF the power switch on your Nintendo Game Boy® Color. Never insert or remove a Game Pak when the power is on.
2. Insert the Game Pak of Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue™ into the slot on the Game Boy® Color. To lock the Game Pak in place, press firmly.
3. Turn ON the power switch. The credit screens will appear (if you don't see them, begin again at step 1).
4. When the title screen appears, press START to proceed to the Main Menu.
INTRODUCTION
Aliens have infiltrated Earth, causing five destructive natural disasters. The Power Rangers must rescue civilians from the ensuing danger while fighting evil Batlings.
To make matters worse, a giant Megazord is waiting to confront the Power Rangers at each site. The Power Rangers will have to face increasing dangers on their way to the final challenge – they must battle Diabolico, the mastermind behind it all.
Are you rescue ready?
MAIN MENU
Start a new game, continue a game in progress, or change the game options from the Main Menu. Press UP/DOWN to highlight an option, then press the A Button to select.
•
Start Game – Begin a new game.
•
Password – Continue a previously saved game. See Saving and Loading on page 20.
•
Options – Change the options to customize your game.
OPTIONS
By selecting OPTIONS from the Main Menu, you can change the following settings. Press UP/DOWN to highlight an option, then press LEFT, RIGHT, or the A Button to change it. Press the B Button to cancel and return to the Main Menu.
•
Difficulty – Select either EASY, MEDIUM, or HARD.
•
BGM – Turn the Background Music ON or OFF.
•
SFX – Turn the Sound Effects ON or OFF.
•
Exit – Press the A Button to return to the Main Menu.
STAGE SELECT
By choosing START GAME from the Main Menu, the STAGE SELECT menu will appear. Highlight a Stage by using the Control Pad, then press the A Button to select.
There are five stages to choose from, with three levels to complete in each stage:
•
Rescue – Save the civilians within the time limit.
•
Battle – Do battle against the evil Batlings.
•
Megazord Arena – The Power Rangers' Megazord will have to complete the task by defeating the large opponents in the Arena.
Once the Power Rangers have rescued the civilians and completed the stages, a sixth stage will become available.
POWER RANGER SELECT
Select one of the Power Rangers before each stage. Press LEFT/RIGHT on the Control Pad to highlight, then press the A Button to select. Each Power Ranger has a set of skills to help in the rescue.
•
Life – A Power Ranger with high Life can get hurt more before retiring.
•
Energy – Power the Tools found in each level with Energy. When a Power Ranger runs out of Energy, he/she will be unable to use the Tools.
•
Power – The more powerful a Power Ranger, the quicker he/she can use the special move.
