Courier Crisis is a game that simulates the life of a bicycle courier. Courier Crisis as you peddle around a virtual city, you must pick up packages from grumpy customers, and then deliver them to other grumpy customers before a timer runs out.
The 3D city and the traffic in Courier Crisis are your biggest obstacles. You can pull off crazy jumps and huge tricks that help you dodge them. There are many different areas of the city in which you can do delivery runs, such as the wharf, China town, the slums, and the city center. In total, there are more than 250 missions to complete. As you complete missions, you earn money that you can use to buy better rides.
Gameplay in Courier Crisis is fast-paced and action-packed, requiring quick reflexes and good timing to navigate through traffic and avoid obstacles. With its unique blend of 3D graphics and arcade-style gameplay, Courier Crisis is a thrilling experience for fans of racing and adventure games.

This is an action-racing game where players navigate a BMX bike through diverse, dangerous urban environments. Players must outmaneuver traffic, hostile animals, and law enforcement while utilizing bike tricks and power-ups to survive.
Story
Civic Center
The financial district, the hub of the city. Lots of hills and secret alleyways.
Watch out for the cabs, they couldn't care less if they run you down.
Chinatown
Lots of crazy hills and narrow streets. The maneuverability of a BMX bike is usually best for this area.
Waterfront
Watch out for the sheriffs in this beach town - they don't care for your type. There are a lot of fast wide open streets here so the fastest mountain bike you can afford would serve you best.
The mongrel beach dogs are killers. Use your kick to whack 'em, or bunny hop over an oncoming car; they'll become grill work in no time.
Skid Row
This is a BAD part of town. Drive-by shootings take out peds constantly. Vicious packs of junkyard dogs rove the streets.
Get in and out as fast as you can. Don't forget the Air 360Β° time power up for higher levels. It's crucial.
Industrial Zone
Massive radioactive chemical spills in the '80s made this area a little weird. Not to mention the secret Army experiments in the '50s, some say they've been doing DNA experiments with aliens and house cats.
Don't play with the fire, you'll burn your fingers.
How to Play
START UP INFORMATION
Set up your PlayStationβ’ game console according to the instructions in its Instruction Manual. Make sure the power is off before inserting or removing the disc.
Insert the COURIER CRISIS disc and close the disc cover. Insert the controllers and turn on the PlayStation console. After the Main Menu comes up, press twice to start a game.

EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT
As a bike Courier, your job is to pick up and deliver packages in a timely manner. Start by looking for the ped with the package, and pick it up by riding up to him/her. You can tell which one he/she is by the pickup icon (a giant yellow arrow) over his/her head.
Once you have the package in your sweaty hands, you need to find the drop off ped. He/she's easy to spot - just look for the giant dollar sign above his/her head. Ride by him/her to drop off the package and collect the green.
Each delivery mission is paid only on timely completion. If you finish when your timer's in the green, you get paid full price. Yellow gets you 75% of the full amount, and red gets you 50%. If you can't get the job done before the red's out, you're fired. At that point your time's your own. Do what you want.
MAIN MENU
The Main Menu offers five options. Use Directional Buttons Left/Right to highlight an option. Then use to select it.

GO: Select this to go to the 'hood selector screen.

GT BIKE SHOP: Select this to go to the GT bike shop.
You can go to the Bike Shop any time the Main Menu is available to you. Once there, you can trade your bike in on a different model. You get full trade-in value on your present bike, so all you have to do is come up with the difference. The cashflow figure tells you the combined value of your trade-in and your available cash.

OPTIONS: Select this to adjust the audio mix & select music style.
Press Directional Buttons LEFT and RIGHT to move between the different options, and press Directional Buttons UP or DOWN to raise or lower the volume or to choose a different musical selection.

'HOOD SELECTOR (City Area Selector)
Select the City Area for your next set of delivery missions. If an area has police tape over the icon, then it's closed for that level. If there is a thumbs up icon over the graphic then you've already successfully played that mission.
You can still replay a mission for a better time and more money. You must complete all the areas in order to progress to a new level. If you want to do a few practice runs, press L1 & R2 to go into the practice level.
During a mission, if you press the Select button and, while holding it down, press and hold down the Start button for two or more seconds, the game returns to the title screen.

RESTARTING A LEVEL
You can restart a level from the following menus.

PAUSE MENU: Press START at any time during gameplay to get this menu. While the game is paused, you have the option to Continue, Quit or Restart.

To continue with the mission, press the Start button.

To Quit the mission, press the Select button. The message "Really Quit?" appears. If you press the Select button again, the game will return to the Main Menu.

If you wish to restart the mission, press the button.

BUSTED MENU: If you've been busted you get this menu, kay?

WRECKED MENU: If you totally thrashed your bike you get this menu.
If you've been fired, busted, or you've wrecked out, you can restart the level by pressing the Start button, then use the Restart option from the Pause Menu.
By selecting Restart you can start the mission afresh without waiting for the graphics sets to reload. By selecting Quit you return to the Main Menu where you can go to the bike shop to buy a different bike, save or load a game, or change game options.

MEMORY CARD
Select this to Load/Save a game or view credits. You can save your game onto a memory card, or if you don't have one, the game will issue a password after each level.
CONTROLLER OPTIONS
Select this to change the default button configuration. Follow the on-screen instructions to select one of the alternative keypad configurations.
GOIN' FOR SPEED
Use the Pedal Button at every opportunity for speed, but be careful not to go too fast into corners. Use the brakes to scrub off speed before a turn, and double tapping the Brake Button will lock up the rear wheel for extra braking power.
BOUNCING
Bouncing allows you to hop over or on large objects without needing a ramp. Hold the Bunny Hop button while stationary to charge up for a bounce hop, with longer holds resulting in higher jumps, but be careful not to hold too long or you'll lose balance.
PULL'N TRICKS
Pull tricks at every opportunity to earn critical game play power-ups, each associated with a specific trick.
TABLE TOP
Perform by pressing D-pad-UP & R2 (or L2 for backside). This trick gives you a speed burst power up, activated by double tapping the Pedal Button.
AIR 360Β°
Perform by pressing D-pad-DOWN & R1 (or L1 for backside). This trick decreases crucial seconds off the mission clock, with 720Β° or greater rotations taking even more time off.
CROSS UP
Perform by pressing D-pad-DOWN & R2 (or L2 for backside). This trick provides a Health Power Up, restoring bike health by adding links back to your chain or fixing damage.
SPREAD EAGLE
Perform by pressing D-pad-Up & A. This trick gives you Double-Bunny power ups, allowing an immediate full height bunny hop by double tapping the Bunny Hop button when the icon is displayed.
BACK FLIP
Perform by pressing D-pad-Down & A. This trick temporarily confuses the cops, making them dumber, but has no effect if they are not on your tail.
AIR TIME
Holding trick combo buttons for The Cross Up, Spread Eagle, and Table Top allows you to project ultimate expression and style, and holding them long enough provides a full supply of the trick's corresponding power up.
MISSION REPLAY
You can replay a mission you've already finished to get a better time and more money, but if you get a worse time, you're stuck with the results from your last attempt.
PLAY IT WITH STYLE
Use wheelies or bunny hops to get over cars and pull tricks to keep power-ups charged, which not only looks cooler but also reduces mission times and allows for buying better bikes sooner.
DIS THA POLICE
Give the cops a rude gesture to irritate them, which makes their sirens clear the streets of other traffic, or use a backflip to confuse them if they are on your tail.
