At the end of certain levels, you can save your progress on the Map screen by pressing the [SQUARE] button onto a Memory Card in either slot 1 or 2. You can save up to three games on a single Memory Card, stored within one block.

From the Main Menu, select "LOAD GAME" to access a cluster of gravestones representing save slots. Use the LEFT/RIGHT Directional buttons to choose a saved game from the gravestones and press [X] to load it.

In the Hall of Heroes, Sir Dan can pay respects to heroes glowing with a ghostly color by standing on the chalice emblem in front of them. If a hero offers a reward, choose "YES" to collect it, but only one reward can be collected per visit.

To break open weak spots in walls, double tap the forward Directional button + [TRIANGLE] button, or press hard forward on the [L3] left thumb stick + [TRIANGLE] button on a DUAL SHOCK Analog Controller.

When full, these automatically restore Sir Dan to full health. They can be refilled at the Fountain of Rejuvenation.

Small vials containing life energy, which can be used as a top-up measure for Sir Dan's energy meter.

A much stronger sword that gives Sir Dan a wider arc of attack. It can be enchanted for double power for a short time.

This item can smash rocks and weak areas of walls and can be lit on fire. When lit, it can set enemies on fire.

Good for attacking enemies from whom you might need to keep your distance or who are too high up to attack from the ground.

This weapon has the strength of the club but never wears down. A special shock-wave attack can damage enemies over a wider area.

The axe is both an excellent hand held weapon and throwing weapon.

Like the throwing daggers, these can be very useful when you need to keep as far away as possible from enemies.
