Pro Race Driver , released for the Playstation 2 in 2000 , offers a new racing experience with a storyline and career structure. You play as Ryan McKane, son of a racer who died in an accident, and aim to follow in your family's footsteps to become a successful closed-wheel driver.
The game features a wide range of championships and cars, including Mercedes DTM, BTCC Peugeot, and V8 Supercars. Realistic circuits are included, but some must be unlocked first. The physics engine is realistic, and multiple camera angles provide a more immersive experience.
Pro Race Driver 's Director's Cut release adds extra tracks and updates to certain championships, offering even more variety for players.
