Contra is the sequel to Super Contra , which was released in 1988. The story follows Scorpion and Mad Dog as they battle against the alien Red Falcon, who plans to take over the planet Earth. With five levels to complete, the duo must fight their way through earthly locations and increasingly alien enemies.
Contra features a combination of side-scrolling action and top-down view gameplay. Players can expect to encounter a wide variety of enemies, from earthly locations to more advanced alien foes. As players progress through the game, they will also have access to various weapon upgrades, which will aid in their quest to defeat Red Falcon. The game supports two-player simultaneous play or one-player solo mode.
