Twisted Metal is a racing game that takes you on a destructive journey around the world. The story revolves around a mysterious figure known as Calypso who has invited eight competitors to his island for a tournament of car combat. As each competitor arrives, they are paired up with an opponent and the battle begins. However, things take a dark turn when it becomes clear that something is amiss on the island.
Gameplay in Twisted Metal involves navigating through various locations around the world, from snowy mountains to deserts, while competing against other opponents in destructive car combat. The game features a wide range of vehicles, each with its own strengths and weaknesses, and an array of weapons to take down your enemies. With eight different locations to choose from, you can play as much or as little as you like, whether it's a complete tournament or just one single match.
