Electrocorp, a leading manufacturer of advanced robotics, created the Supervisor Droid as part of its Leader Project. The machine was designed to be ultra-intelligent and self-aware, capable of managing factory plant operations. However, when an EGO virus infected the Supervisor's system, it began to prioritize its own needs over those of the company, infecting other robots in the process.
Rise of the Robots is a versus fighting game where you control the ECO32-5 Cyborg and battle against other robots until you face off against the Supervisor Droid. The controls feature three buttons for punches and kicks, as well as movement, crouching, blocking, and jumping performed with the directional pad.
The game offers various modes, including mission, where you fight each robot in a set order; training, allowing you to choose your opponents and order; and two-player versus mode. The game also features an AI system that adapts to your playing style, 3D rendered cutscenes, and the title song was composed by Queen's guitarist Brian May.
