Shining Force II

The story involves saving a princess from demons, rebuilding the hero's hometown, and uniting forces against the hero's nemesis. Along the way, the hero joins other characters to aid him on his journey. Some characters can only be obtained by completing side quests. Random battles also occur between scenarios, giving the party a chance to gain experience.

The game offers several difficulty levels when starting a new game and a configuration code that allows cheats to be activated, including controlling enemy units.
